Internally conical flights
Internally conical flights are used for screw conveyors with conical center shaft or pipe.
- Screws with gradually increasing center shaft diameter are suitable for compressing material.
- Whereas screws with gradually decreasing center shaft diameter provide more and more space for the material, preventing material buildup, without increasing operating speed.
- Increased operating speed is usually used to prevent material buildup on screws with increased pitches.
- Production and final fitting will be significantly facilitated, if the shaft is available.
